We don't need to worry about that comet in the sky hitting earth. The western part of the United States is sitting atop of perhaps the world's largest supervolcano---Yellowstone. A full blown eruption there could mean the extinction of all life in North America and maybe the world. Recent geyser eruptions in the Yellowstone Caldera is leading many top scientist to wonder what's cooking below the surface of this tourist attraction.
A full-blown eruption of Yellowstone could dump a suffocating layer of volcanic ash that is at least 10 feet deep on almost the entire country, and it would instantly render about two-thirds of this nation completely uninhabitable. You bet, when Yellowstone starts rumbling there is a reason to pay attention, and right now Yellowstone is starting to rumble in ways that are unprecedented.
