Heartbroken Father Prepares Sick Daughter for Her Death by Taking Her to Play in Her Future Grave

There’s no preparing a parent for having to plan for their own child’s funeral. But that’s exactly what one father had to do — and he came up with a rather unconventional way to get both himself and his daughter ready for her impending death. 

Zhang Liyong is a farmer in rural China, and he spent over 100,000 yuan treating his daughter, Zhang Xinlei for a blood disorder. Xinlei was diagnosed with thalassemia at two months old, and she’s now two years old… but the Zhang family can no longer afford her medical bills. Zhang and his wife got pregnant again, hoping to use cord blood from their second child to give to Xinlei, but they then realized they couldn’t afford the transplant. 

“We borrowed money from many, but they are no longer willing to lend us more,” Zhang explained. Feeling that they had no other choice, the family decided to give up treatment and focus on getting Xinlei ready for her death. “I could only come up with this idea – bringing her to play at this place,” Zhang said. “This is where she will rest in peace. All I can do is accompany her every day.” His hope is that she will become comfortable with the grave, and be less afraid when she eventually passes away.   Read more.....
