White House Phoney with a Pencil

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, BARACK OBAMA HAS THREATENED CONGRESS BY CLAIMING HE HAS A PHONE AND PEN AND WILL BY-PASS THE LEGISLATIVE PROGRESS MANDATED BY THE CONSTITUTION IF THEY FAIL TO FALL IN LINE AND PASS HIS AGENDA.  JUST AS THE ROMAN EMPEROR, CALIGULA, DEMANDED THE ROMAN SENATE RUBBER STAMP HIS DECREES OBAMA IS SEEKING TO GARNER MORE POWER UNTO HIMSELF.  CALIGULA MET AN UNTIMELY END WHEN THE PRAETORIAN GUARD ALONG WITH SOME MEMBERS OF THE SENATE KILLED HIM MARKING THE FIRST ASSASSINATION OF A ROMAN EMPEROR.  IT'S NOT VERY LIKELY THAT BARACK OBAMA WILL HAVE THE SECRET SERVICE TURN ON HIM IN SUCH A MANNER OR EVEN MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, ALTHOUGH I SUSPECT SOME WOULD LIKE TOO.   THE PRESIDENT WILL CONTINUE TO THREATEN CONGRESS WITH HIS PHONE AND PEN AND UNDOUBTEDLY SIGN SOME EXECUTIVE ORDERS.  HOWEVER ANY ACTIONS SIGNED BY THIS "PHONEY WITH A PENCIL" WILL IN THE END, BE WRITTEN ON THE WIND AND PASS TO THE DUST BIN OF HISTORY WHEN HE LEAVES OFFICE.  FOR THEY ARE NOT BINDING ON THE NEXT PRESIDENT AND CAN BE RESENDED WITH THE MERE STROKE OF A PEN BY ANY FUTURE LEADER.  CARTOON BY GLENN FODEN
