Are Cartels and MS-13 gangs members trying to bring the Legacy of the Aztecs to the U,S.?

One must wonder if the members of the Mexican and central American cartels as well as gang members of MS-13 are attempting to bring the legacy of the Aztecs and other ancient indigenous peoples of that region to the United States!  But wait, that just can't be true.  After all the ancient peoples of Mexico and Central America practiced body mutilations such as cutting out human hearts as part of religious ceremony.  Whereas, today's MS 13 and Cartel members just hack their victims death and only on occasion accidentally cut off a head.  And then of course, today these acts are not committed to appease some supreme deity, but rather the worship of the almighty dollar.  Then too, one must not forget the members of modern day MS-13 and cartel enforcers are virtually covered from head to toe with tattoos.  Oops, the ancients of that region were also fond of massive body tattooing.

MS-13 Gang 'ICED' in Los Angeles Raid

Federal and local law enforcement officers conducted 50 simultaneous raids in the pre-dawn hours Wednesday, taking down almost two dozen “high-ranking” suspected leaders of the notoriously violent MS-13 street gang, along with numerous Mexican Mafia leaders, in what is being described as the “largest gang raid in Los Angeles history.” According to NBC News’ local Los Angeles affiliate, the raids were “the culmination of a three-year investigation,” in the words of the FBI’s Deidre Fike. Led by the Los Angeles Metropolitan Task Force on Violent Gangs, the investigation began in June 2014, targeting the most violent actors and most senior leaders within the violent criminal enterprise controlled by MS-13, along with their ties to the Mexican Mafia.  More....
